Overview

The Project Planning and Management Certificate Program at St. Barnabas Business College (STBBC) is a specialized program designed to produce competent, results-oriented project managers who can effectively plan, execute, monitor, and close projects across all sectors. In a nation where development projects—from infrastructure and healthcare to education and humanitarian aid—are essential to national growth, the demand for skilled project management professionals is immense.

This comprehensive certificate program provides students with a solid foundation in the principles and practices of project management, including project identification, feasibility studies, proposal writing, project planning and scheduling, budgeting and resource allocation, monitoring and evaluation, risk management, stakeholder engagement, and project closure. The curriculum is designed to bridge theory and practice, with a strong emphasis on practical tools and techniques that can be applied immediately in the workplace.

Students gain hands-on experience in developing project plans, using project management software, designing logical frameworks (logframes), and preparing project reports. The program also introduces students to internationally recognized project management standards and practices, preparing them to work effectively in both local and international contexts. Graduates emerge as capable project professionals ready to contribute to the successful implementation of development and commercial projects in South Sudan.
